Captain Randy Sigler

Randy has been fishing the local waters recreationally and commercially for over 50 years. He has taught 8th grade science in Marblehead, and for the last 25+ years has operated Sigler Guide Service, a saltwater flyfishing and light tackle guide service in Marblehead. The combination of backgrounds in teaching and fishing, a true passion for sharing all that he knows and sees, as well as a degree in Natural Resource Studies, create a perfect foundation to lead a safe, fun, and truly memorable experience for kids.

Captain Jeff Trotsky

An alumnus of "The Ultimate Kids Fishing Camp", Jeff''s passion for fishing, and his adventures with Randy and Sigler Guide Service began over twenty years ago. A native New England'er, Jeff doesn't just love being on the water, he lives for it. This passion has taken him from the tidal flats of the Caribbean, to the Great Lakes, and even the backcountry of British Columbia. If you can't find him on the water, you will likely find Jeff in his classroom doing what he loves most; teaching and working with young people. A middle school science teacher and life long learner, Jeff holds a masters degree in education and believes that whether on the water or in the classroom, there is always more we can learn! For Jeff it is simple - he doesn't measure success in size, weight, or numbers. Instead, Jeff believes that the most successful days on the water are the ones measured in smiles, high fives, and memories that will last a lifetime!

Captain Dan Rand

Dan has been actively fishing local waters for over 30 years for bass and tuna. He has held his USGC captains License for over 15 years, and spent several years in Florida fishing the Billfish tournaments on private sportfish boats. He is now in his 15th year of private charter business here in Marblehead and has been a Kids Fishing Charter team member for over ten years. In addition to guiding and recreational fishing, Dan coaches local youth sports, and (with his wife) is raising three crazy (four-sport) boys here in Marblehead :)

Captain Kris Ensco

Kris grew up in Marblehead, and has been fishing the waters of the North Shore for close to 30 years. He has spent significant time mating on offshore/sport fishing boats from Maine to the Caribbean. Kris also fishes extensively in freshwater from Canada down to Pennsylvania. When the "Time to Settle Down" gremlins began knocking, Kris came back to Marblehead to launch his guiding business. Kris is a jolly old soul, and a new dad … and the kids love fishing with him.

Captain Doug Cassidy

Doug is a life-long Marblehead waterman. A commercial scallop and urchin diver, Doug is more familiar with what’s below the surface of the northshore waters than most anyone around. Wanting to spend more time sharing his passion for the sea, Doug earned his 50 ton US Coast Guard Captains license, and began guiding for the Kids Fishing Camp.

Doug has an infectious smile and enthusiasm that feeds all around him. Whether catching striped bass, pulling lobster traps, or playing “dock games” during a thunder storm, Doug has a special knack for making sure kids have a great time on the boat.

Captain Tony Santosus

Tony grew up fishing the waters of Long Island Sound.  He now spends his time fishing, guiding, diving and hunting Massachusetts' North Shore waters. Tony has been a valuable addition to the Kids fishing team for the last ten years, and brought a new boat into this world last year ... which the kids LOVE! Tony rode the train to fatherhood later than most of us, and is currently the parent of an 18 yr old future Kids Charter captain. Tony has a wonderful, laid back personality, yet brings that aire of wisdom and respect into the boat.  To go along with his numerous financial industry licenses, Tony is a USGC licensed captain, and a PADI certified diver.

Captain Faxon Michaud

Faxon has been fishing in and around the North Shore since the age of eight when his parents signed him up for The Ultimate Kids Fishing Charters.  Little did they know that this program would spark a life long love of fishing and the sea.  Faxon earned his USGC license in 2014, and has fished both salt and fresh water from the coast of Marblehead to the rivers of Montana and back to the canyons a few hundred miles off Cape Cod.  Faxon is energetic, gregarious, highly knowledgeable, and always has a bright smile on his face. His diversified skill set allows for him to use different methods of fishing to ensure that kids have a great day on the water.

Captain Jacob Abbisso

Captain Jake has been boating and fishing the waters off Massachusetts since he was just three years old, and it’s safe to say that saltwater runs in his veins. A USCG licensed Captain, Jake is passionate about sustainable fishing, and preserving the marine ecosystems that he calls home. Jake was also an enthusiastic participant in The Ultimate Kids Fishing Charter when he was younger! He prides himself not only on his ability to find fish through instinct, science, and technology, but also on his ability to teach clients (and campers!) the knowledge he has acquired over the years. There is nothing that brings Jake more joy than sharing his passions with others. From light tackle striped bass fishing to drifting offshore for bluefin tuna, to recreational lobstering, Jake has done it all! You might recognize Captain Jake as The Balloon Dude (formerly The Balloon Kid). Since 2008, he has been twisting balloon animals at local events and donating his proceeds to the Marblehead Animal Shelter. Jake has also been a teaching assistant and tutor for kids ages 5-13, is bilingual, and founded Wesleyan University’s first and only Catch and Release Fishing Club. Kind, patient, and upbeat, Captain Jake’s passion for fishing, and life, is contagious. We are ecstatic to have him on our team!

Captain Pete Yukins

Pete grew up in Beverly, MA, and along with running his own charter business, Molly Jean Charters, he has been a lead Kids Charter guide for close to 20 years. He has a USCG Master license and has lobstered out of Gloucester, spent many winters on an offshore gill net boat, and fishes for Bluefin tuna from Stellwagen to George’s Bank. Between running his own charters, Kids Fishing Camp, commercial fishing, and spending his mornings before camp fishing, he likely spends more time on the ocean than on land. When not on the water, Pete enjoys tying flies for himself, and spending time with his wife, two young children, and dog, Allie.

Captain Paul Lynch

Paul grew up in Saugus, with a passion for fishing. Paul enjoys a wide range of fishing styles, and is as happy landing an 8” brookie from a tiny feeder stream as he is with an 800 Bluefin Tuna from Stellwagen Bank. Paul has been boating since age 12, and currently holds a 25 tom Masters USGC License. When not fishing, Paul is a tax-prep whiz and is often consulting business owners on tax issues :)

Captain Tim Haigh

Originally from the UK, Tim has had a passion for fishing, being on the ocean, hunting, and cooking his catch since a young age. In his youth, he fished the freshwater ponds and rivers around London, catching Pike, Perch, and the occasional 20-pound Carp. Moving to California broadened his horizons, allowing him to pursue the American dream of catching 300-pound Thresher Sharks from a kayak and tackling other inshore Pacific monsters. Before relocating to New England in 2012, Tim spent several years fishing the Florida Space Coast, both inshore and offshore, honing his skills in topwater fishing and trolling for pelagic species. Now living in Salem with his wife, two kids, and their fishing-loving cocker spaniel Roxy, Tim enjoys the pursuit of tuna, jigging for haddock and groundfish, fly fishing for striper, and adapting techniques to the ever-changing local fishery.

Captain Greg Katz

Greg is another early Kids Fishing Charter participant. Now, 20 years later, he has become quite the accomplished fisherman and guide. One of those All Star young men … bright, respectful, intuitive … who could never kick the lure of the sea.  Greg passed all of his Coast Guard license requirements prior to being old enough to submit them. He then honed his fishing skills until his 18th birthday at which point he submitted his material and was awarded his USCG Captains License. Greg had been a mate for Sigler Guide Service for several years, and for the last seven years has been a core member of the Kids fishing team. Kids love him, we love him, you'll love him !
